So, technically that’s my story, from joining the cult to leaving it.
Of course, there’s much more to it. Leaving a cult isn’t an immediate cure-all, it’s just the beginning of the journey to heal and rebuild one’s identity. But the chronological unfolding of events is for the most part finished.
There is, however, more that I would like to write about, including the healing and deprogramming process that so many of us have struggled with after leaving behind what formerly filled every crevice of our lives.
From now on, I’m not going to number my posts anymore. They’re going to be a mix of life after the church, more WMSCOG anecdotes, quotes from books I’ve been reading, and more.
Thank you so much to everyone who has read up until this point. You guys are awesome and I am so grateful for your support and the opportunity to connect with you all.
